A teenage boy presented to the emergency department with an injury to his right knee sustained during a tackle while playing football earlier that day. His foot had been planted on the ground when he twisted, and a crack had been heard. He reported substantial pain, immediate swelling and difficulty mobilising and was unable to continue playing football.
