The studentBMJ, lovingly known as “the BMJ on speed,” is 10 years old this month. Born when its stodgy parent was 152, the studentBMJ is close to unique—and aims eventually to reach all of the hundreds of thousands of medical students in the world. It is monthly, takes some material from the weekly BMJ, and is edited by a student who takes a year off from medical school.
