    • There are many disease based calculators in the online world, but http://www.riskscore.org.uk/ stands out for sheer simplicity and usefulness in a common topic area—cardiovascular disease. The home page clearly explains the purpose of the site and lists the type of data that is needed. There is also a link to a related BMJ article. The programme can be downloaded for offline use on a PC. The concept may be simple, but this is potentially a very useful tool.
